The Pledge of Alliegence

There are a few people out there that when our Pledge of Alliegence was first drafted and up till 1954 there was no mention of "God" there.  Now, first and foremost, I do not hold any ill-will to those that believe in a higher power.  It's just the ones that keep throwing "GOD" in our faces.  "It's in the Pledge! SAY IT SAY IT!!"  No, not in the original, I'm truly sorry bible-thumpers, but there's absolutely no mention of that invisible entity hovering in the sky.

Look here:

1892:  "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Mmm.. this is the original.. I see nothing.

1892 - 1922:  "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and to the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Nope...nothing still, curious.

1923: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States, and to the republic for which it stands; one Nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all." The addition of the US...but still nothing about God.

1924 - 1954:  "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands; one Nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all."  Yeah.. nothing

It wasn't till after the latter half of the 50s that God was added.  I just thought I'd swing a little reality check in here.   There was a whole seperation of church and state.  Plus keeping it out of our schools, not forcing a religion on those who may have different ideals.

There ya go... Case closed.

Life in General

To say that I've been neglectful on this blog is an understatement.  Let's just say, I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff, work stuff... just..well stuff, and leave it at that.  No worries though, I plan on bringing some new topics back and bringing this blog back to life... so stay tuned.

Big Hugs,

A Little Hiatus

BPS and 4B will be taking a short break, 2 weeks give or take.  Our resident artist Dan The Bear will be paying me a visit on his vacation and our attention will be placed on other things while he's here.

Of course that doesn't mean that we won't be brain-storming on new and fun ideas for the show, and who knows, there may be a 4B show featuring Dan himself.  That is, if I can get him in front of the camera. ;)

We'll be back soon.

Much Love!

Shelby "Mustang Sally."

Here she is, the newest edition to my family.  Meet Shelby Mustang Sally, or just Miss Sally or Shelby for short.  A ball of energy, that's for sure, I just caught her at her more calmer moments.

That Sinking Feeling: Page 9 GA/GL Adventures

Things have definitely heated up. With Acionna revealed, her eyes are set on Suttin, there is nothing that will stop her in imposing her revenge. Arrow and Lantern both fight deperately to save both Suttin and the other party-goers. The boat could go under, and they're in short supply of time.

Artists Spotlight: Void Of Axis

In 2003, Dustin Terry started getting interested in music after hearing "The Downward Spiral" by Nine Inch Nails for the first time. He started to experiment with samplers and drum machines and formed a group called "The Other Side". After many problems arose in the direction of the music and disputes between Dustin and the other members behaviors usually resulting in Dustin being the only one who would show up to sessions he decided to end the group. In 2007, he started a new solo project called "Personification Zero", he created a lot of music during this time but none that he felt expressed was passable. So he then again canceled that project. In November 2008, he was given an old Mac Powerbook with the program Garageband loaded on it. He released the first single A Matter Of Time (Single) for Forest Of Memories Vol. 1 (Album) which was released in 2011. After FOM, Dustin worked on improving his production skills and learning to create more complex musical arrangements. After almost a year, "Slave" emerged as a power rock anthem for his forthcoming second album "Kaleidoscope" which came out November 9th, 2012.

Rare Gems

Rock & Rule (1983):Nelvana
This movie was panned by a lot of people. In my opinion, yes, this movie was very cheesy. The music was awesome though, featuring artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Lou Reed, Debbie Harry and Cheap Trick. This movie is often looked over, since it never did well in the box office, and I think it's a rare gem that needs mentioning.

We've Come A Long Way Baby!

It's amazing that BPS was born almost 4 years ago, then from there 4B Studios, then the 4B Vlogs and the Bear's Bare-Boned Blog on Blogger. We keep gathering steam it seems.. and from what I've heard from my Co-Owner/HusCub, Dan Wuffbear, we've inspired other furry artists to try new things like Vlogging and Blogging. Who knew that we could do that just by out little art site and my random ramblings? Much love to everyone who has supported us along the way! There's still a lot more to come.

Our favorite couple contacted us again. Seems that their romance is blossoming even further these days. Axel and Jerry came to New Orleans to appear as a musical act on one of the floats during Mardi Gras. After their concert, the two went back up to their room, stood on the balcony and took in all the magic that New Orleans had to offer.

Let's just say, fireworks weren't just happening in the sky that night.

From what we understand, Axel got the nerve up to ask young Jerry for his hand in marriage.. well, from this intimate pic, I think we know the answer.

Something Special In The Air

Dan never ceases to surprise me.  While I slept this morning, he went and made this for me.  Thank you so much Cub, you are my keystone, the one that keeps me stable in this unstable world.  I love you so much.

Just some random post

Howdy folks,

Seems I've been pretty absent of late.  For that I apologize, between work and real life stuff, it's been pretty difficult to find any time to get down and right something.   So, I'm checking in with y'all.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a gamer.  With that, I ask this, what is your most favorite video game of all time? Any games you're looking forward too in the new year?  Console you can't live without?  I.E. PS3, Wii, 360?

Two games I'm looking forward to are Bioshock: Infinite and Dead Space 3.  They're coming out in February, and dang I'm on pins and needles.  My fingers are getting itchy just thinking about it.

Let me know y'all.  You know I all ways look forward to your feedback!

Love Me.. Love My Hot Wheels

The Hot Wheels Showroom Series
Various Series, Including Batman, Speed Racer and Back To The Future
Yeah.. some may think that I'm a bit childish at times.  But I think if you keep your inner child active, there's nothing you can't face.  It helps in this uncertain world.  You see... what I do to ward off reality, I collect Hot Wheels.. and here they are.
